Sam grew up in the FLDS religion, a polygamous group led by Warren Jeffs. He left the community at 18 years old. After leaving the FLDS, he became LDS and served a mission in Chile.

Melissa was raised in the LDS religion. She and Sam were married in the St. George LDS temple in 2014 and have two beautiful children.

Together, years into their marriage, they began a spiritual journey that led them out of the LDS church. After experiencing the pain and turmoil of a faith transition, they strive to let others know that they are not alone. They now share a deeper belief in the power of every person’s individual spiritual experience and are honored to help empower those particularly of the FLDS faith share their journeys with the world.
